What types of fabric do you work with?
We work with many fabrics including most knits (jersey, ribs, interlocks, ponte), as well as wovens such as silk, cotton and poly top weights, most bottom weights, and jacket/outer weights.
What is your sample turnaround time?
All turnaround time depends upon how busy our schedule is, however generally we ask for a two week window.
What is your production lead time?
As with all jobs, how quickly we can complete a job depends upon how busy we are. Most production jobs can be completed in four weeks after we receive all necessary material.
How can I get an estimate?
To receive an estimate for patterning, sampling or production, please email us the following:
- A description of your project
- Tech pack and/or technical sketch including measurements
- Fabric swatch with trims
- Construction details such as seams, stitch info and trims
- Quantity needed
What does a tech pack include?
A tech pack includes a technical sketch, spec, measurement guide, seam and stitch direction, construction details, trim chart, labeling and any other helpful information.
What is needed to book a project?
To book a project, MFP requires 100% of all materials and information needed as well as a 50% deposit. Materials needed may include patterns fabric, fabric, trims, notions, thread, packaging materials, hangtags, labels. Production projects generally require a paper marker unless other arrangements have been made.
What is a Marker?
A Marker is a layout of the pattern for the purpose of production cutting that maximizes usage of the fabric. Generally it includes all sizes planned for production. Using markers can save a lot of fabric from unnecessary waste.
